What is RSS?

RSS is an acronym for "Really Simple Syndication".

What does it do?

Basically, an RSS allows you to read websites/blogs that publish an RSS feed.  These feeds are generally updated regularly with the latest available headlines and/or articles for that site/blog.

How do I view an RSS feed?

An RSS feed is designed to be read by machines rather than humans, HOWEVER, thanks to technology, everyone is able to read RSS using a News Reader (aka news aggregator (no relation to the florida gators)).  There are two types of news readers:  Downloadable/stand alone and Browser-based.

A downloadable/stand alone news readers a piece of software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added to your subscriptions.   It stores your RSS feeds on your computer, similiar to how your email downloads using Outlook Express.  You'll find a list of FREE readers below.

A browser-based news reader lets you catch up with your RSS feed subscriptions from any computer via a web browser and logging into your reader feed service.  If you are a member of  Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc. you've probably seen the option to add an RSS feed to your home page.  Most of them have the  icon on the page or the address bar of your browser.  Firefox users will see the icon on any valid RSS websites by default.  Internet Explorer users will only see this if they are using IE 7.

How do I add SECWB.com's feed?
