Let the good times roll!

Coming off a 3-0 win streak and their first ranking in the AP Poll since the 2003-04 season, the Auburn Tigers were given yet more good news when they learned that Alli Smalley, was named SEC Freshman of the Week on Monday.

Smalley has scored 40 points in three games and is averaging 13.3 ppg.  In games through Tuesday, November 21, she leads the SEC freshman in shooting.  The closest SEC freshman to her in points is Jordan Jones (South Carolina).  Jones has played in four games,  averaging 9.5 ppg. and has scored 38 points in almost double the amount of minutes played.

On November 17, Auburn defeated UAB by a score of 93-66 thanks in large part to the 80% (8-10) shooting of Smalley.  She also completed four of six three-pointers in that game, totalling 20 points second only to Junior, DeWanna Bonner who scored 31 points.

Congratulations Alli Smalley - you go gurl!
