Athens, Ga. --- Tina Langley, an assistant coach at Clemson for the past two seasons, has joined the Georgia coaching staff, head coach Andy Landers announced on Wednesday.

"We're excited to have Tina as a member of our staff," Landers said. "She's a perfect fit. Not only does she have the type of experience and the contacts that you need to be successful in this position, she brings an incredible work ethic and tremendous organizational skills. Georgia Basketball will benefit greatly from her addition to our staff."

Langley spent the last two seasons as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Clemson and will occupy the same position at Georgia. Prior to her most recent stint, Langley spent five seasons on the staff at Toledo, where she was a graduate assistant for one season, was promoted to assistant coach for three years and was promoted again to associate head coach during her final season.

"I am so excited to have the opportunity to work for the University of Georgia and with Coach Landers," Langley said. "He is one of the most successful and respected coaches in the nation, and I feel privileged to have the chance to learn from him. There's no doubt, Georgia is one of the premier basketball programs in the country and has consistently been so for a very long time. I'm looking forward to joining them in their pursuit of a national championship."

Langley's recruiting record is extremely successful. All told, four of the six recruiting classes she helped assemble at Clemson and Toledo were ranked among the nation's best by the All-Star Girl's Report. The six-player class which Langley coordinated bringing to Clemson prior to last season featured the Tigers' top three scorers during the 2004-05 campaign.  Read More.
